Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is a collaborative journey tailored to your unique needs, offering a safe space to find relief from emotional distress. It is a place to understand your moods, thoughts, and behaviors, and to learn and build new skills.

Together, we work to find solutions to personal problems and modify unhelpful patterns of thinking and acting, empowering you to live your life to its highest potential.

 

Individual therapy may be short-term (focusing on immediate issues) or long-term (delving into more complex problems). The exact way in which this therapy is implemented tends to vary depending on  the needs and goals of the individual.

The number of sessions and the frequency of appointments depends on the individual’s situation and the recommendations of the therapist.

Whatever your issues may be, therapy can be a life-changing experience.

 Modalities  

​

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps you identify unhealthy, negative beliefs and behaviors and replace them with healthy, positive ones

​

  • Dialectical behavior therapy, a type of CBT that teaches individuals behavioral skills to better manage stress, emotions and improve relationships with others

​

  • Acceptance and commitment therapy, helps one become aware of and accept thoughts and feelings and commit to making changes, increasing their ability to cope with and adjust to situations

​

  • Interpersonal psychotherapy, addressing problems with current relationships with other people to improve interpersonal skills — how you relate to others, such as family, friends and colleagues

​

  • Supportive psychotherapy, reinforces the ability to cope with stress and difficult situations

​

  • EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a highly-researched and effective therapy used to help people recover from trauma and other difficult life experiences.Unlike some other therapies, EMDR does not require you to go into extensive detail about your distressing experience or complete homework between sessions. Instead of changing your thoughts or emotions, EMDR works by allowing your brain to naturally resume its own healing process.

 

Coaching

Life coaching is a goal-oriented process that helps you find solutions to specific problems. Through guided self-discovery, you'll uncover your own answers and be held accountable for putting them into action.

 

MIND OVER MATTER : Mental Skills Coaching for Athletes

Work together to understand your current athletic performance, both physically and

mentally, and create meaningful goals that reflect your aspirations.

 

The full program entails 17 hours of personalized teaching, workbook activities, and one-on-one support. 

  • The full program includes the 12-module, tailored mental skills training program.  

    • 12 modules broken down into 6 sessions (2 modules per session)

    • 2 follow up visits included in packaging price

  • Additional meetings can be added at the hourly coaching rate.  

  • Modules can be purchased Alacarte (see pricing layout).

 

Intensives

Therapy intensives are a type of therapy that involves longer, more frequent sessions over a shorter period of time. They are an alternative to the traditional model of “one-hour-a-week” therapy session

 

Intensives typically occur in 2-5 hour blocks of time over the course of 3-5 days/sessions. If you have interest in this, you can request a consultation with me to make sure the intensive would be a proper fit.  A recommendation for the layout of your intensive treatment will be made at this time.  

Together, we will come up with an intensive and a customized curriculum that faces your specific challenges head-on.

 

Due to the structure of treatment and limitations of insurance plans, these intensives are not currently covered by medical or mental health insurance.

 

Workshops, Retreats, and Groups 

Workshops, Retreats, and Groups are designed to provide an immersive and collaborative environment for growth. Unlike one-on-one therapy, these offerings focus on specific topics and leverage the power of shared experience. Whether you're looking for a one-day workshop to learn a new skill, a multi-day retreat for deep healing, or a supportive group to connect with others, these services offer a unique pathway to personal discovery and transformation.
